Noorka Logistics is seeking a responsible and safety-focused Safety Officer to join its operations team in Dubai. This role is ideal for an HSE professional who can identify workplace hazards, implement safety procedures, conduct inspections, and promote a strong safety culture across logistics and warehouse activities. The successful candidate will help protect employees, visitors, equipment, and company assets while supporting compliance with applicable UAE safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouses, loading areas, vehicles, and operational workplaces.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
- Conduct risk assessments for logistics, warehouse, loading, unloading, and material-handling activities.
- Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and safe working practices.
- Organize safety inductions, toolbox talks, training sessions, and awareness programs.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and prepare detailed reports.
- Maintain safety records, inspection checklists, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor emergency preparedness, fire safety equipment, evacuation procedures, and emergency drills.
- Coordinate with supervisors and management to resolve identified safety concerns.
- Promote safe forklift, vehicle, lifting, loading, and warehouse practices.
- Support internal safety audits and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure employees understand and follow company safety procedures and applicable UAE regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer or HSE professional, preferably in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or a related industry.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety certification is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of workplace safety procedures, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Familiarity with UAE health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for safety reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with operational teams.
