Noorka Logistics is seeking a meticulous and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our Dubai-based team. Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Assist in creating, reviewing, and processing purchase orders in line with company requirements and standards.
- Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, negotiate prices, and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, and collaborate with the warehouse team to identify reordering needs, reducing stock shortages.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain positive relationships with vendors by ensuring clear communication and efficient handling of queries or order adjustments.
- Documentation Management: Organize and maintain purchasing documents, including invoices, contracts, and delivery records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Market Research: Conduct periodic market research to identify new suppliers and compare product prices, aiming to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Invoice Reconciliation: Work with the finance team to verify invoices against purchase orders and deliveries, ensuring alignment for prompt payment.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, including cost analyses and inventory status, for management review.
- Support Senior Purchasers: Assist in any ad-hoc tasks or special projects required by senior purchasing officers.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related role is beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic ERP systems.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high accuracy in order processing and documentation.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
- Time Management: Effective at prioritizing tasks in a busy work environment.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
